I Love My Mother

Happy Mother's Day to my dear, sweet mother! Thank you for being a wonderful influence to me in my life. I am so thankful for the righteous example you have been for me in my life. You are everything and more that I hope to become someday. Thank you for having SO much patience with me and for always being there for me. Thank you for helping me to become the young woman I am today and someday, the woman I will be. Thank you for the lessons you've taught me throughout my life. I will forever remember them and be thankful for them. Thank you for being the perfect example of a mother to me. I know someday when I have a family of my own I'll look back to you and raise my children the way you did me. Thank you for supporting me in the many crazy things I do in my life. Thank you for coming to what probably seemed like the never ending band performances, concerts, recitals and events. Thank you for helping me and encouraging me to do and be my best.

Most importantly, thank you for being my best friend. There has never been a time where I've felt like I couldn't come to you for something. I love hanging out with you, being around you, spending time with you and just talking to you. I'm looking forward to the rest of the time I get to spend with you! I love you so much!

And Happy Mother's day to the rest of the amazing examples in my life as well. Both my grandmothers, my Young Woman Leaders, and other Women in my life. I'll forever remember everything you've done for me!

BYU-Idaho!

Dear Cambri:

Congratulations! We are pleased to offer you admission to Brigham Young University-Idaho. Rich blessings and life-changing opportunities await you here.

Ahh! I’ve been accepted to BYU-Idaho! I’m so excited! This is the school that I’ve REALLY wanted to go to! So when I got the news you can imagine my excitement! I quickly ran downstairs to tell my dad and called my mom as fast as I could! It literally is a dream come true! In February I’ll be going to the campus with my Mom and Dad to audition for a Music Scholarship I’ve been working on for the past few months. It’s a cRaZy Scholarship with lot’s of things to perform so I’m crossing my fingers I’ll do good :).

Thank you to my mom and dad for all of the help, love, and support they have given to me. My dad helped me write all of my essays and for that I'm very grateful. I love them both with all my heart and don't know what I would do without them! I love you :)

LaRita Throckmorton Hill

My Beautiful Grandma Hill

Tuesday, September 25, 2012, My beautiful Grandma Hill passed away. I've never had anybody in my family pass away, so this has been a difficult week for me. Today we went to her viewing. She looked so beautiful in her white temple dress. I know she's in a much better place and that she's happier where she is. There are no words to describe how much I love my Grandma. She was an amazing woman. I'm so thankful for her righteous example and for the inspiration she's been to me in my life.

I'm going to miss seeing her beautiful smile every time we go and visit. I'm going to miss her big hugs and kisses. I'm going to miss all the football games. I'm going to miss talking to her about what's been happening. I'm going to miss fishing with her. I'm just going to miss my Grandma.

I'm so thankful for this wonderful gospel and for the Plan of Salvation. I'm thankful I was blessed with such an amazing family. I know that I'll get to see my Grandma again. I know I'll get to see her happy smile and that I'll get to give her a big hug. I'm thankful that she was my Grandma and I'm thankful for all the life lessons she taught me. I know she's going to be with me for the rest of my life. I know she's rooting for me to do my best and that she'll help me along the way.

I love you Grandma!

Just wanted to say...

Just wanted to say how much I love my mom! She’s always doing random acts of service and making those around her feel good. One thing she does I’m most grateful {and ashamed of} for is clean my room. She does it a lot more than she should. I’m just a slob :)!

Things I LOVE about my mom:
1. She listens to everything I say {which is at times... a lot!}
2. She cares about me
3. She wants me to do my best in everything I do {*cough cough* school}
4. She makes me laugh
5. She’s my BEST friend! :)

Thanks for all that you do mom! You truly are an amazing mom and I hope that one day I can grow up and be like you. I’m sorry for the things I said to you the other day, I was just really frustrated. But I love you so much and I hope you can forgive me! Thanks for being such a wonderful example to me. I really do love you so much and I’m grateful that I got to come and be your daughter while here on earth. I’ll try to make you proud! I know sometimes I may be a pain and a struggle but I’m really trying to do and be my best. I love you! :)

Love,

Cam :)

2 Year Anniversary

Today marks the 2 year anniversary of the American Fork Marching Band bus crash. It's so hard to believe that just 2 years ago, I would be in Pocatello, performing my show, finding out we won all the captions and dominated at our competition, eating a sandwhich at Arby's, and getting back on a tour bus to come home to American Fork, and I'd also be in a bus crash that could have taken my life and many others. I'm so grateful to Heather. Without her, myself and others possibly wouldn't be here today. She is a TRUE hero and an amazing person. I'm very sad I didn't get to know her as well as I would know her now if she were still here. But, knowing that she would lay her life down for her "kids" (as she would call us) makes me feel closer to her every day. The band wore flip flops today in her honor, as it was her favorite thing to wear on her feet. I don't even think she wore closed toes shoes to Band Camp in Delta! :) :) :)

Thank you Heather! :) I miss and love you and I am eternally thankful for what you have done for me.
