***My Dreams Have Come True***

About a month ago (give or take a few days) I tried out for Marching Band and what band I would be in next year. I've REALLY wanted to be in Wind Symphony! It's always been a goal of mine to be in the top band at our high school my Senior year. The past two years I've been in Symphonic Band... which is still really good... being in the second top band my sophmore and junior year.
So I've been really worried and stressed about it because I didn't know if he would pick me or not. He only picks four flute players, one of which needs to be a piccolo player. I tried not to get too excited, because I thought for sure I probably wouldn't be in this band. And when I got a 2 on my solo for Solo and Ensembel night, it freaked me out even more! Because all the flutes around me were getting 2+ and 1- and 1!
But just the other day, he posted the list and to my pleasant surprise... my name was second on the list! :) I was SO happy I screamed so loud and I think I almost cried! It was probably the greatest day of my life and I cannot wait to get to play in the American Fork Wind Symphony my senior year! :)

Sign-A-Song Night!

For my ASL (American Sign Language) class at school, we're doing a fundraiser for a deaf charity (yet to be decided...).
We are performing at our school (American Fork High School) Friday March 16th from 6:00-8:30. Each ASL class will be performing a song in sign language and then there will be several other small groups performing as well. It might not even go until 8:30!
You don't have to pay anything to get into the performance but a small donation of some sort would be much appreciated.
At first I wasn't going to tell anybody about it until my teacher told us for each person we get to come, we get 1 point of extra credit! So... please come! When you get to the school, right outside the auditorium there will be a bin and all you have to do is put my name on it and I'll automatically get one point of extra credit! (I don't really need extra credit right now, but It's always nice to have a back up... just in case we fail our sign-a-song!!! haha)
So I hope that you might find time to come see me so I can get extra credit! :) It would be much appreciated! I'll post again when I find out what the charity is we're doing!
