Sunday Thoughts :)

Today I decided I wanted to a random blog post about this wonderful gospel and how truly grateful I am for it.
Dare to Stand Alone. Doesn’t that just sound good? This Mormon Message is now a personal favorite of mine. My seminary class got to watch it before it was even out, which I thought was pretty cool :)! But I wanted to share it, and also the thoughts I have about it. Watch it! It will only take about 4 and 1/2 minutes out of your day.

What a cool story right? I loved watching it and learning from it and taking out every little thing that I could! President Monson is such a cute man! I love listening to him! When you listen to him there is no way you can’t feel the spirit so strongly. You can tell he loves Christ with his whole heart.
I love the theme of the message: Dare to Stand Alone. What a powerful message that is to me. To me it means that we need to have the strength to say no, to stop, and to stand alone even when it isn’t the “cool” thing. And what’s even more great is that when we’re standing alone... God is ALWAYS with us. He never leaves us and He never will.

One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.
Sometimes there were two sets of footprints,
other times there was one only.
This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life,
when I was suffering from anguish,
sorrow or defeat,
I could see only one set of footprints,
so I said to the Lord,
“You promised me Lord,
that if I followed you,
you would walk with me always.
But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life
there has only been one set of footprints in the sand.
Why, when I needed you most, have you not been there for me?”
The Lord replied,
“The years when you have seen only one set of footprints,
my child, is when I carried you.”

I LOVE that poem! The message inside of it is so cool! God is always with us! And when we’re struggling and when we feel all alone, God picks us up and is helping us until we can walk again. And even then He doesn’t leave.
I’m so thankful for the knowledge I have of this gospel. I’m so excited about the things to come and I cannot wait until I get to see God again and hug Him, stand by Him, and be with Him for ever.
I love this gospel and all the promises and blessings we receive from it. I’m thankful for the scriptures and that I’m able to read from them every day, whether it’s reading a few verses, or multiple chapters. I’m thankful for the temple. What a BEAUTIFUL place that is! I can’t wait until I can enter into it one day wearing a gorgeous white dress with my future husband and have the opportunity to be together forever with my current family, and my future family. I’m thankful that I’ve been able to go visit the temple weekly with my friends the past month. My days have been better and my appreciation for the temple and the gospel has deepened.
And I feel like the only way to end this post is this:
I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Thanks for reading! :)

I Love You!!

Just wanted to say...

Just wanted to say how much I love my mom! She’s always doing random acts of service and making those around her feel good. One thing she does I’m most grateful {and ashamed of} for is clean my room. She does it a lot more than she should. I’m just a slob :)!

Things I LOVE about my mom:
1. She listens to everything I say {which is at times... a lot!}
2. She cares about me
3. She wants me to do my best in everything I do {*cough cough* school}
4. She makes me laugh
5. She’s my BEST friend! :)

Thanks for all that you do mom! You truly are an amazing mom and I hope that one day I can grow up and be like you. I’m sorry for the things I said to you the other day, I was just really frustrated. But I love you so much and I hope you can forgive me! Thanks for being such a wonderful example to me. I really do love you so much and I’m grateful that I got to come and be your daughter while here on earth. I’ll try to make you proud! I know sometimes I may be a pain and a struggle but I’m really trying to do and be my best. I love you! :)

Love,

Cam :)

My BEST Friends in the WHOLE ENTIRE WORLD!!

My dear friends came over to my house last
night while we were all out getting dinner.
They had heart attacked our front door and put
some of the hearts on my car.

I had to take the hearts off the front door so
I taped them up in my room on my closet door.
Muffins and rice crispy treats! Yum :)

I have the best friends in the WHOLE ENTIRE WORLD!
I love them so much and I’m so grateful for them.
They turned my not-so-great day into a better day.

Thanks Kayla, EmmaLee, Morgan, and Callie!
You’re the BEST!!!

Love,
Cambri :)

My “before I graduate” Bucket List

It’s a little hard to imagine that I’ll be graduating in only a year, and I’ll being going to college a few months after that. Crazy stuff I tell you!

So I’ve compiled a bucket list of things I’d like to do and accomplish BEFORE I graduate, some are wacky and some are more special:

1. Go to all the temples in Utah County
2. Have a cake fight
3. Visit all the little stores on State Street
4. Read 75 Books
5. Buy a pet Gold Fish
6. Grow a garden {Including... one vegetable, one fruit, and one flower}
7. Make a sundress
8. Finish Personal Progress
9. Donate to a charity {not quite sure yet}
10. Design a T-Shirt and wear it
11. Learn how to french braid and fish tale hair {preferably before Girls Camp}
12. Draw a good picture {One that I’ll take time on}
14. Cover the door in my room with quotes
13. Paint each of my nails a different color
15. Finish the Book of Mormon {For my honor bee}
16.
17.

I’ll be 17 when I graduate... that’s why I have 17 spaces. So if you have any ideas or suggestions as to what I can add to my bucket list it’d make my whole day! :)

{This won’t go into affect until June 1-gives me time to take a break from school!}

Thank you :)

Birthday Tea Party!!

We decided to have a “Tea Party”... but no worries... there was NO tea. We had lemonade instead :)
Caitlin :) EmmaLee’s cute little sisters made us all crowns for us to decorate. And if we ever took them off... we got in trouble :)
Melanie! The birthday girl # 1 :)
EmmaLee! The birthday girl # 2 :)
Callie and EmmaLee’s little sister
Morgan, Kayla, and Melanie
Morgan and I
Kayla and I decided to surprise Melanie and EmmaLee by making a cake for each of them. I made EmmaLee’s beautiful GORGEOUS chocolate cake! :) I was really happy that I actually made a cake and that it didn’t ruin... like all the other times I attempt to cook ANYTHING. However, I wasn’t being a smart girl... and I left it in my car until lunch. Where, it was REALLY hot and decided to melt. The top half of the cake had slid off and the letters read: HAPPY BIRTH! :( Needless to say I was a little sad... but everyone ate it nonetheless.
These are the invitations I made! :) I couldn’t decide which ones to use so I went with both of them! :)

Addicted to what? Quotes

I am addicted.... to quotes :) These are some of the MANY I LOVE! I have a wall devoted to quotes in my room. They’re just too marvelously wonderfully amazing! They can make you smile, cry, laugh, etc. I only posted a few of the quotes I love. Because, if I posted them all... you’d be here forever :).

Thanks for reading! :)
