Today I decided I wanted to a random blog post about this wonderful gospel and how truly grateful I am for it.
Dare to Stand Alone. Doesn’t that just sound good? This Mormon Message is now a personal favorite of mine. My seminary class got to watch it before it was even out, which I thought was pretty cool :)! But I wanted to share it, and also the thoughts I have about it. Watch it! It will only take about 4 and 1/2 minutes out of your day.
What a cool story right? I loved watching it and learning from it and taking out every little thing that I could! President Monson is such a cute man! I love listening to him! When you listen to him there is no way you can’t feel the spirit so strongly. You can tell he loves Christ with his whole heart.
I love the theme of the message: Dare to Stand Alone. What a powerful message that is to me. To me it means that we need to have the strength to say no, to stop, and to stand alone even when it isn’t the “cool” thing. And what’s even more great is that when we’re standing alone... God is ALWAYS with us. He never leaves us and He never will.
One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.
Sometimes there were two sets of footprints,
other times there was one only.
This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life,
when I was suffering from anguish,
sorrow or defeat,
I could see only one set of footprints,
so I said to the Lord,
“You promised me Lord,
that if I followed you,
you would walk with me always.
But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life
there has only been one set of footprints in the sand.
Why, when I needed you most, have you not been there for me?”
The Lord replied,
“The years when you have seen only one set of footprints,
my child, is when I carried you.”

I LOVE that poem! The message inside of it is so cool! God is always with us! And when we’re struggling and when we feel all alone, God picks us up and is helping us until we can walk again. And even then He doesn’t leave.
I’m so thankful for the knowledge I have of this gospel. I’m so excited about the things to come and I cannot wait until I get to see God again and hug Him, stand by Him, and be with Him for ever.
I love this gospel and all the promises and blessings we receive from it. I’m thankful for the scriptures and that I’m able to read from them every day, whether it’s reading a few verses, or multiple chapters. I’m thankful for the temple. What a BEAUTIFUL place that is! I can’t wait until I can enter into it one day wearing a gorgeous white dress with my future husband and have the opportunity to be together forever with my current family, and my future family. I’m thankful that I’ve been able to go visit the temple weekly with my friends the past month. My days have been better and my appreciation for the temple and the gospel has deepened.
And I feel like the only way to end this post is this:
I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Thanks for reading! :)
I Love You!!
