This was an AMAZING week! I loved getting to know the girls in my ward better and I loved being a YCL over the cutest first years in the world. I’m so grateful I was able to come to camp this year and learn everything I did. I’m thankful for all the examples everyone has been to me and for all the testimonies that were born, stories that were shared, and all the laughter and fun memories I hope I’ll never forget.
This was my last year as a YCL :(. Which is completely CrAzY! I never ever in a million years thought this year would come! But alas, it came :(. So I had to take LOT’s of pictures! There are TONS more on facebook! I think I got up to about 160 pictures!
All the YCL's
My CUTE and ADORABLE first year girls! Well.... three of them :)
(Ashlyn, Sami, Aspen, and I)
Note to self: Don’t fall into peer pressure... even if it’s for a Girls Camp Skit. I think half my hair came out after trying to brush it out!
I had a matching shirt with someone EVERYDAY except for thursday
(Brianna & I)
Before Skits
After Skits
My beautiful mother and I
My Katniss Everdeen shot :)
Waiting for lunch to be served we took our Hunger Games pictures. (Me, Rachel Stevenson, and Megan Lefler). We ended up drinking this water during lunch because we didn’t have anything else to drink. And we’re still alive! So I guess it was clean water! :)
We had two of the CUTEST camp owners ever (At least that’s what I think they’re called)! It was fun to say hello to them as they rode around on their four wheelers waving with their cheery smiles on their faces. One of them did a cute little thought on Tuesday night and gave each of the girls a bag of m&m’s. The m’s standing for "modesty & morality" and then, if you turn them upside down so they’re w’s, they stand for “worthy to wear white”. We all thought they were so clever! I’ll never look at m&m’s the same now!
Our ward won! We ended up getting 32 young women onto the pyramid!
During the Olympic games we got SOOOO hot we decided to run over the one of the pumps and have a water fight!
This is only three of my AMAZING young women leaders! I LOVE each and every one of them dearly and I’m so grateful for the example they set to me and for all the help and guidance they give me. They made camp SO much fun this week and I’m so glad I was able to spend time with them and get to know them a little better.
I have completely loved the opportunity to go to Stake camp and be a YCL. I’ve loved getting to know each and every one of the young women and leaders in my ward as well as all the girls and leaders in the Stake. I’m so thankful for all the examples that were there at camp. I’m thankful for all the leaders who spend hours and hours working on lessons and games so that we could feel the spirit and have fun.
I know this church is true and I’m so thankful I was born into this church. Without it, I’m not sure where I’d be. This church is an AMAZING gift and I hope I NEVER take it for granted. I know God loves me and I’ve loved being able to feel close to my Heavenly Father this week at camp. I loved being at camp and being able to take a personal evaluation of my life and decide what needs to change and what I should add into my life to make it ever better. I’m thankful for the testimony I have and I hope I can continue to grow it and share it as much and often as I can. I’m thankful for this years theme: “Arise and shine forth, that thy light may be a standard for the nation.” I know that each and every one of us has a light as bright as the sun and we should let it shine. I love looking at the Young Women all around me and seeing that light in their eyes. They’re all such great examples to me. I know that each of us are beloved sons and daughters of God and that He wants nothing more than for us to come back to Him. I love this gospel and everything about it! I’ve loved the opportunity to go to camp and I hope I’ll be able to remember the things I’ve learned and apply them to my life.
