"Today is early out day"

Mondays at the high school are "early out days"... meaning, we get out an hour early! :) yaya!

But today isn't Monday... it's Thursday! I was sitting in my history class getting ready for the bell to ring so I could go to lunch when the girl sitting two rows in front of me said "oh yeah, today is early out day!" I was confused for a second, and thought: "Wait a sec... it's Thursday!" I looked up and said "Gentry, it's not Monday!"

That was the highlight of my day. Someone thinking that four days into the school week in a Monday! Crazy girl! :)

I have a very good and happy announcement to make :)

I finally understand my history class! Oh my goodness! I could tell you everything we talked about today except for the fact that it would bore you:). But I'm just so excited I FINALLY understand all the lectures and what my notes mean:). The Student Teacher has been teaching us this new semester and I learn SOOO much more from her! It's so nice to finally understand what's going on in that class!!

Haha:) Another funny moment today... :) My sweet sister Sydnee was walking home and she had just walked through the gate and I was watching her walk inside and she didn't see me! At all, and I was RIGHT THERE! :) It was so funny... she walked into the bathroom and started singing or talking to herself, I couldn't really hear. But she walked out of the bathroom and still DID NOT SEE ME! I thought to myself, you have got to be kidding me! I finally laughed at her and she looked at me and her eyes were so wide. And I said "How did you not see me when you walked in?" And she asked "Where were you?" And I said "I was sitting right here!" And her jaw dropped half way and then she screamed: "I MADE MUSICAL THEATER AND ADVANCED DRAMA!!"

One thing that bothers me very much is that when I hit the pillow and my eyes close... time goes by so fast. And then when I wake up and I just want five more minutes to sleep... but those five minutes go by way too fast! And then when I get to school... time goes by way......to.......slow!! And then when the bell rings and I walk to the white church for my ride home, and I get home and just... sit... time goes by... way too fast! And the week days.... go by way too slow. And the weekends... go by way too fast. Why can't time just be... normal? Be... fast when it's slow, and slow when it's fast? Does this make any sense? It does to me:) but I'm not very sure if it does when you read it :) haha.

In seminary today, a not-so-active boy stood up to give us our scripture thought. It was really neat what he talked about. He said that if you're kind to someone for even just a day, your day will be better. You will notice a change in your life and you will be happier yourself. And I just thought it was so cool what he was saying and how he knew that everything he was saying was true. Even though he didn't look like a "good kid" or didn't dress like one... he really knew what he was saying. And I personally think that was awesome :)

ALMOST FRIDAY! and friday is... the weekend! Which is one of the best words ever invented. It's like my math teacher said: "Text and book are both very good words. But when those mean people put them together to create a swear word: textbook, it becomes a very bad word. Two other good words: home and work. But when the mean people put them together and created the word homework, it because a very bad swear word!" And now... we cannot say textbook and homework in his class! :)

In this case.... week and end are not very... "good" words. When I think of week I think of school, like the week days. And when I think of end, I think of the end of a very good book or the end of a roller coaster ride. But when you put those two words together, you get a very good word! :)
